Its showing the error code for transmission calibration required, i.e the big cog icon with an arrow pointing into a square above it. We recently fitted new batteries, would that influence things?

I wouldn't have thought that would cause it to lose its memory.

Have you ever been in to any of the menus before?.....its not for the faint hearted, but once you get to grips with the terminology it is straightforward enough.

Before you do transmission calibration you should get the trans oil good and hot, over 60c is what's called for. It is possible to bypass it during the calibration or alternatively just a bit of cardboard over the oil cooler and putting a flow-meter in the spools, but really all you are doing is getting the heat in the oil, not in to the components. In an ideal world it would be after you done a day's work. I am fairly sure one of the displays show's current trans oil temp.

Anyway if you press and hold the PROG key once you have started the tractor on level ground it should take you to the first screen "Config Menu".
Below will be written "Instrument" and "TCU".

Use the arrow keys to select TCU and then press the PROG key again.
You'll have a list of transmission menus "View", "Setup", "Adjust", "Diag", "FSUS" and "Exit".

To do the calibration you need to get in to "Trans Setup" and with the engine speed at a tad over 1200rpm and then press the Prog button.
Once you are in there its a case of follow the instructions on the screen and hitting the Prog button (enter) to go through each step.
It will first tell you the oil temp and whether its hot enough, stabilise the engine speed, ask you to put the park lever in neutral and then you will get each clutch displayed and it will calibrate each one as it goes by engaging and disengaging to determine the bite point, once the little " * " appears you press the Prog button to get to the next clutch. So you have odd, even, C1, C3, C5, Low, Med, High, Reverse and the Master Clutch.
Last you will get "Exit Cal", which you need and a sign telling you to put the park lever in park. You can go on through to configure the start off gears for forward and reverse. Then "Done" will appear.

You need to be fore you go through the exit steps in order to save the calibrated values.

Hope thats covered it. Its been a few years since I worked on these things.
