Hello all,
My PhD student, Ilinca, is still looking for more farmers to take part in her short interview study on stress and fatigue. We are hoping to get farmers from across the UK and Ireland but have only managed Irish farmers thus far. See official invite below for details, all help much appreciated.
Do you consider farming your main occupation? Are you interested in taking part in a study on the impact of stress and fatigue on the mental picture of what is going on around you?
We are looking for farmers to take part in an interview study on this topic conducted in the School of Psychology of the University of Aberdeen. The interview will cover a critical incident when you were stressed or fatigued and additional questions about your experience of stress and fatigue in farming. This will allow us to determine the causes and effects of stress and fatigue in agriculture, especially the impact on the mental picture of the environment. You will also be asked to complete a short demographic survey at the end. The interview offers a chance to share your experiences on stress and fatigue and to help the community by building a better understanding of farmer safety. The study can take place either via telephone or on site at your farm if you are located in Aberdeenshire and lasts 30-40 minutes.
If you are a farmer interested in volunteering and aged over 18, please contact Ilinca Tone at [email protected] for more information.
