Calving camera

Doesn't sound good . What do Jake or Ben say?
I’ve been up there a few times. Threatened too rip it out last year but ended up spending more on a new 360 camera as it would all be fine then.
Both really nice chaps but system is seriously flawed. I think it’s there operating system not up to it. Been talk for years of new system but never happens.
Phone call and they reboot everything, have a fiddle and it works again for a while.
From my part it’s just bloody annoying.
I’ve got 2 Fullwood robots and I can do a system reconnect on them no problem but can’t do anything with this simple single calving camera system, so it’ll be another phone call.

I have been trying to get them to give me a price for a system on our new farm in France. They are useless! It took a good month to come back after initial inquiry with much grovelling and apology and a promise to have a detailed quote/suggestion of a system emailed the following week.......... that was 3 or more months ago and still nothing. I am back on here looking for options at the moment for calving in September and stumbled over your post. Very glad i did as I was about to go against my principals and call them AGAIN tomorrow, I don't think i will bother now!!

It`s not too difficult to sort out yourself. Well within the capabilities of the average fat fingered peasant. If you get stuck plenty on here with experience
Thats what I have decided, Just looking on the ptz/bullet thread. think I want 2 ptz cameras as the shed is about 100m long so a camera 1/3 of the way from each end should cover me i think. Just need to decide whether i go for expensive or cheap ones. After all they are probably all made in china now!

Generally speaking more money gets you better quality pic., We have a £160 Foscam PTZ. It`s fine to see if a cow is calving. If you want to be able to read tags you need to spend more than that.
From memory ours is 5x zoom . Spend Circa £450 gets you 18x zoom

Seeing this thread I thought I'd try my luck, I've an agri camera setup, been fine for years, on and off the farm, now it will only view on my phone on the farm wifi, as soon as I lose the farm wifi and go on to data or another wifi I get the ooops there's a problem page, any ideas before I start turning stuff on and off again. Thanks

Sounds like the camera is working fine as you can use it on the local network.
from a conversation I once had with them I think ? that agricamera have their own web portal for viewing over the internet.
You need to ask them

The camera I put up is fine for our barn as we also have a night light up in there.... Not bright but enough to be able to see about... Camera works good for what it is.... Can see more behaviour etc from watching cows calving you get to watch from a good distance and then if you have to go out then great..... Don't put it up to high is my only thing... We did and wasn't great but as soon as we have put it lower on wall it was fine.... Hope it works for you as it does for us..... Oh BTW don't activate the movement sensor... It will text message you every two seconds about detected movement.... Just thought I'd save you a headache

Is this completely wireless?? i.e. does it run off a battery

Its wireless as far as Internet connection goes.... Needs power though to run it as don't think it would run on batteries.... Our Internet connection is really strong as calf barn not far from the house and Internet has booster on it in the house which helps we also had an antenna put on the outside wall for the Internet connection to be stronger in the farm buildings etc
