Ah, mine came with a brace and wall plate, wouldn't fancy using it without it tbh as could see it twisting with a wilder cow.

Ive inquired about one today but theres a delay due to brexit, they said i need a revenue number to have one imported. Did you get it from local dealer or direct from Ireland?

Great to see the chat about the gate, always interested in feedback as that's what I have used over the years to add a feature here or there or improve something.

It is difficult for us to ship directly to UK customers but we do have 3 agents between Cumbria and Yorkshire and we are looking out for more stockists if anyone has any suggestions.

Anyone any experience of the calving gate from bo steel in Ireland


Seems to be a few options around IAE/Ritchie/Jourdain but not seen this one mentioned?? Don't even know if they export at this stage.

I use a Bo Steel gate. Never have a problem dropping the pin into the floor. Hole is easy to clean out if necessary. Also got an O’Donnell gate which pins into the floor.
