No other bike will come close on price.

@Gator has a Polaris 450 and seems to get on fine with it. 570 is just the same bike. I had a look over one 5-6 months ago, was quite impressed with the look/design/feel of it. Quite tempted to try one next time i change... only fear is wether the reputation from the 90's is still true today.

Local dealer is ringing back, he also sells Suzuki and is trying to push one of those at moment but not taken with them.

I have found a Polaris 570 Sportsman that is a year old with only 64miles on the clock, and that is less than £5k plus vat. New from same dealer is £5,350 plus vat. Only trouble is he is about 150 miles away but will deliver for £150......

Standard honda 420 is £5500+ VAT (£5990 list), Honda 500 is £1100-£1200 more. CanAm is very close to Honda prices, after price increases in September. The Yamaha 700 is far more competitive on pricing then both Honda or CanAm.

I like Suzuki's... but was put off them after the 2 we had wore out prematurely. The bikes have changed since i last had one, but the financial troubles/lack of investment in their bikes i wouldn't be surprised if they are still a bit soft.

Well after a bit of toing and froing and talking to 3 dealers I have plumped for the Can-Am with a deal on the ex demo bike below with 16 miles on the clock.

Happy with the price and they are throwing in a free set of mud guards/wheel arches on all 4 corners and giving it its 50hr service to be ready for delivery next week.

@Poorbuthappy think you need to be on commission as a neighbour of yours was in their showroom earlier wanting one as well!
