Can anybody tell me which is the exact type and year of this Manitou 4x4 rough terrain forklift ?

Looks to me very similar to the MB25PF of the very early 80’s.
The MB25P of the late 70’s/early 80’s had a Perkins 4.236 Bolted to an IH 444 skid unit with a shuttle direction change ( which you needed to use the foot clutch for). It wasn’t available as 4WD, but had a sliding counterweight over the engine, just below the bonnet.

The MB25PF had a Ford 3 Cylinder(?) engine and a Ford gearbox with no shuttle. It didn’t have the sliding counterweight and was available as a 4WD version.

Interesting that this one doesn’t have the free lift mast with the central ram, which was a good option for low buildings.

Manitou did build similar machines for IH with IH engines. I don’t know if 4WD was available on them.

Yes there was 4wd option on the IH engined ones. Think that's an IH engined on in op post.

I remember seeing an article about a 4wd IH 444 and there was a suggestion that you could create one by using a manitou skid unit as they had an additional transmission shaft.

The skid unit manitou used was an industrial version, i once had some one manage to shear the front half shaft off! (would be rear half shaft if on a tractor) new from manitou was £1kish, i took it to a guy that broke IH tractors and expected to get a second hand one but when we looked at them the tractor ones were a lot smaller dia shaft! The one that broke must have bee around 3" dia, customer was in bottom gear low box trying to dig with a grain bucket :X3: had to pay the £1k from manitou to get machine going, personally i would have scraped the machine as it was a nail anyway but customer wanted it fixed for some reason.

Bit of a strange one really - production year 1983 - but the H is not a model that was ever imported to the UK - suggest for mainland Europe only - The H has always been the designation for Hydrostatic in Manitou models and the Porthos Factory in France specialised in Hydrostatic Driven Models. In that era was the 4RM30H (4 equal sized wheels) the Kramer with a Mast On, and lots of other variations were available. Porthos were concrete machinery manufactures from memory and maybe Manitou bought them over and then sold Manitou RTFLT through the Porthus Brand which were sold alongside Manitou but in Yellow.
Is yours a Hydrostatic Driven model and who's engine is in it as the exhaust seems to be on the wrong side as standard in that era, plus fillers in different places, but the basic Chassis/ Mast. and Tin Work are all from that period which in the UK was 4RM26C, 4RM26N, 4RM26NF, 4RM26NC, 4RM30HP etc etc
