Good evening all, I'm a keen vegetable gardener who is hoping to rent 1/4 to 1/2 an acre within 35 minutes of Birmingham for growing heirloom: tomatoes, chilli's, and vegetables. Land in Birmingham seems to be rare/expensive (an acre of scrubland was offered me for £6.5k a month yesterday) at present and the waiting list for allotments is absolutely ridiculous. I use regenerative methods and have access to a wide range of well regarded regenerative materials for improving soil microbiology and condition. If anyone has anything or could advise me on how to go about searching for somewhere I would be grateful. My planned budget is around £1200 a year but I could stretch a bit if I need to. Prior to moving to Birmingham (when I got married) I was in Shropshire and the lack of space here to grow as much as I can is very depressing. Happy to answer any questions. Kind regards.
