Are you down by the riding stables?
Used to visit Station Garage and play with the very early versions of what turned into Mitsubishi Evo's. My bestie did his Apprenticeship there under Alan Langdon.

Yes we're on the same road but further out of the village towards CLIVEDEN. Wow that's amazing. I vaguely remember that, also remember them selling TVRs there. Lived here in the 80s in a flat on a horticultural unit. I was brought up on an Arable / Dairy farm in the Cotswolds and when I landed a job in London aged 19 I just couldn't face living there so spent time driving around until I found somewhere with fields round me and ended up in Burnham Beeches!

Getting quotes for a Concrete slab 40 mtrs x 18 mtrs for our Oak Framed Haybarn. It will be used for agriculturul purposes. ( just futureproofing!)
We're based in the South East of England and so far the quotes are around 60k inc vat. Seems a lot - or is this what it costs .
Can anyone help please.
Many thanks.
150mm thick is 108 m 3 , so about £10k , couple of day with an excavator and 100 tons of stone , 20k tops

I know that feeling, drove around for a year or so 'till I found my derelict place in '08. Grew up on a dairy farm too! Now arable. My Dad went into sawmilling from the dairy. Plus an 'Agent' job for a Landowner.
Cliveden is v pleasant.
Good luck with your concrete. Don't skimp, else you'll end up with what I call 'farmers-crazy-paving' and as has been mentioned go the whole way and up to current regs so if you need to move sideways in the future you won't have to undo anything as this is unbelievably costly.
Remember the Building Inspectorate is your FRIEND, don't be put off. Use them for up-to-date-advice on current construction regs. I've been associated with the 'ouse building trade all my working life as a City & Guilds 'Brickie', and the goal posts are always moving...... I have our local Building Inspector on speed-dial and he's very willing and helpful. I'm not a planner of profess to know a lot about planning although with persistance I have managed to create a smallholding that works, is reasonable in its outgoings and will now stand on its own two feet.
Also occasionally had a beer in The Feathers but was never much of a drinker as a yoof!

Never a truer word .....doing a small extension on side of house , bricks went up 22% in 10 days !
I did smile though when I was complaining cos the bloke I was dealing with just said " my father is a farmer and he was saying how his livestock prices are escalating"
