Can I put electric in the same trench as drain

Got a new grain store which I need to get electric to. I’ve got to dig a new drain in to get water away. Can I put the electric in the same trench?

If the drain ever blocks and needs digging out in a few years time it may be a trap for the unwary, especially if you haven't put warning marker tape overs the top.

Use a 3ft bucket not a 12".
One down each side of trench.
With marker tape.

Got a feeling 12 inches apart (or more) is the standard for such things

put a couple of ducts in aswell future proof ,electric in a ducting ,cat cable ,waterpipe all in ducting ,no probs then

1/2 full or 1/2 empty ,you always fill in the ends or ducting with appropiate cap

If you're putting down any new flooring always think about putting a duct under it. Never know how your business might change in future and it makes it a doddle to add water, internet or the like if needed.
