Can I use the white towing socket on my Disco 4 to power a pump?

I assume the white plug is for caravan electrics, is there a permanent live?
If so, can a wire a plug to fit to provide power for the pump on my fuel bowser.

If possible, wiring diagrams would be gratefully appreciated

It'll only be low amps, it'd only meant to charge the battery as you tow.

Try and see. Worst that'll happen is you'll blow a fuse...

You should have a 15A fuse on the power lines to the 12s plug, so 180W. Depends on the pump if it will run off the socket. Pin 6 and 7 should be the switched live off the ignition on the discovery.

Run cables from battery to front bumper. Use and Anderson style plug with a blank cap for when not using. That’s what most do
