Can Trimble be run off homemade base station

I have bought a tractor with a nav900, Trimble gfx-750 screen and has the ezi pilot pro steering wheel fitted, it’s unlocked to Center point fast but I want to know if I can build my own base station and run the system from that, is it possible? Fist time with gps/rtk so total learning curve. I’d like to use it with rtk but my other idea is to possibly sell the Trimble and build my own.

I run the same set up, works a treat but the cost of the yearly sub for Centre point fast has me looking for an alternative without any reduction in accuracy.

I think unless your Nav900 is unlocked for high accuracy, you will have intermediate accuracy unlocked at present and the Centrepoint Fast yearly subscriptions includes a temporary unlock/licence to high accuracy whilst paying and receiving Centrepoint Fast. So no you cannot use a third party RTK base station or any other for that matter unless unlocked for High accuracy.

The unlock needed is just shy of £3k.

If you sell your Trimble you could use AgOpenGPS which uses RTK as standard with a Keya motor, this could use the same anti-rotation bracket as the EZ Pilot, so very easy to fit, just need to fit a wheel angle sensor.

Could all be done for less than the price of the Trimble unlock!
