Yes, go to ‘settings’ then ‘passwords’ and toggle the ‘autofill passwords’ switch should do it. I’d be lost without it!

If you use more than one browser, be aware that Safari will remember passwords and auto-fill from the Apple Keychain which then autofills for all your devices. Same with Chrome but assuming you also have a Google account, its passwords are stored by Google in its own space.

Nevertheless on both you should tick 'remember me' and the web site login and password should allow immediate entry to any such website 99% of the time, sometimes possibly needing further authentication, such as a bank wanting a fingerprint or similar.
