Do you get what you pay for, or are they all the same quality? have found this box, but it is a bit pricey compared to the £20 cantilever boxes, but I've spent the past 3 years re pop riveting the cantilever mechanism back on till the bottom burst out of my one this week, or am I just paying for the name?

Have that exact facom box that’s used every day for work. They last me 3-4 years but tend to wear the bottom corners away with picking up and putting down so much.

Had this model for 3 years now and its survived so far being loaded up and chucked into the truck etc. Good quality and I liked the fact it came with foam linera in all the trays.

I'm not a fan of cantilever tool boxes with two handles. The Scout group I help has one full of knifes and it catches out a lot of people who try to pick it up by just one handle.

I'm not used to concept of cantilever boxes wearing out. Getting driven over seems to be the fate of most of them. My last one did manage over two decades before secoming to that fate. I currently have a Bahco, single handle and just the right size to fit the tool cupboard on the combine. Most Cantilever boxes I looked at would have been just a bit too wide or tall to fit.

Haven't used a metal cantilever box in years as they are often heavy to lift before any tools are put in, the corners always catch my shins and tools seem to rust quicker inside them than in a plastic box, (condensation ?) I have a 500mm long plastic cantilever box bought from David Bowyer down in Devon, years ago for car/ tractor stuff. Strong enough to stand on and allegedly strong enough to drive over in a Land Rover, but haven't put this to the test. Would love to buy another but have never seen another one. .

I don't like cheap tools or cheap toolboxes, but the draper ones I have had all are well built enough for me. And they are cheap.

I use a canvas toolbag to take specific tools around these days, and a proper rollcab for storage. But still have a cantilever for my welding accessories, this two handled draper one is very sturdy. (single handled ones no matter the make ALWAYS feel shoggley after a while!)

The fact the handles don’t look like they fold out the way would do my head in...
