So to get our heads around how useful this support offered by Rishi yesterday, who plans to take advantage of the FETF capital grants this year ?

I still haven’t had it finally confirmed I’ll get paid on last years!

Not a lot of use for my 150 acres,they obviously don't want small farmers

They look to have changed the rules this year.

If one makes a claim, but finds a cheaper item that meets the spec, only 50/60% of the invoice price will be paid, not the stated grant amount that's 50/60% of the 'nominal' price.

Which is nice.

When its been a disastrous 12 months and the 12 ahead look worse, why or how would you invest in anything even at 50%?

The paperwork and office time is tremendous on these grant schemes..............I think the RPA workers must think its there own money they are giving away from the bizaar requests that my last FETF caused.

Read the rules very carefully and do not deviate in the slightest.... mate of mine lost out on his £10K grant or gave away a tractor or a similar value depending on how you look at it Two separate deals done at different times but exchanged on same day... Secretary made a single payment as per the dealers statement, one transaction on the bank statement which didn't match the invoice value, computer said no!

Yes probably, but seriously they must have gone through it with someone? Yes to this no to that option? Why not ask what we want? I’d like a new potato store pls, it will create many efficiencies and help me be more productive.

That list is more red tape not less. The items on the list I have, don't want or can't justify.

So no state aid here.

As @Barleymow says not agreat deal of use to smaller farms. Hilarious he mentions that small farmers are at the centre of their support. The only thing on this new round we might go for is another solar fencer, not even sure I can be bothered with the hassle, they will probably tell me the recept isn't printed in the right font so can't process the payment.

Without sounding ungrateful where are they getting expected average cost of
item from .Looks to me most items which suit the required grant would be a third more than
the initial estimated cost.

I thought one of these be useful so asked the local dealer if one could be obtained for the suggested price, No was the answer, even used ones fetch more than that.

So a non starter there then.

Nothing as the prices have just gone up by the grant amount. Total con again. These grants should be made available on used machines as well.
