The reason captain Tom went on holiday was that the people taking him got a free holiday out of it too simple as that

Irresponsible, and British Airways getting cheap publicity, but it's ok Captain Tom got a trip and probably pneumonia.

Tbh, more than fair play to him and his family, a personal decision and I sincerely hope they enjoyed it.
The thing that surprised me was that a trip like that was possible, kind of felt the rule was essential travel only. Does that mean people are jetting off on a whim? Rather surprised Barbados are letting Brits in...
