If its british car auctions always check the buyer premium
Once bought a landy in edinburgh, the dealers ran me up then the commission was almost 12%
Was an expensive motor by the time i got it home here.

Bought one in June from VW Direct near Worcester. Ex V W lease and well priced. It was cheaper than buying at auction after all the add on costs for the private buyer. Well pleased with it.
One word of advice. Do not let Vw do the "minor"software updates. Did mine and it turned out to be the emissions update which caused a severe lag on acceleration. VW refused to reverse it and I ended up having to have it remapped. Every cloud has a silver lining as it now goes better than ever and does more MPG as well.
