Car involved in theft

Dark green Mercedes estate T993 FLJ
Two occupants, stole a husqvarna chainsaw at 19:36 yesterday evening, South of Ashford, Kent.

DVLA shows it as a 3.2L petrol, will take a bit of catching. Tax ran out at the end of May, MOT'd to March 18, so probably just changed hands.

Yes on cctv, but no shots of the occupants, other than one bloke wearing shorts and a flat cap.

did the police think the car was on false plates ? . we had a dark coloured green merc estate poking around on the farm (NW kent) around 3 months ago
had a stand off having boxed them in , two occupants one in a blaclave and the other a short slightly stocky older bloke (different plate though)
Eventually fled after i punched out the door window , they were after tools and fuel but got nothing
