Ex- neighbour had a small field of around an acre, half mile away from any houses next to a large stream for kids to guddle in. Just a stand-pipe and waste tank. Registered with The Caravan Club as not easy to find. He just popped in each night to take the cash and usually had up to 4 Van's in the summer. I think some liked the idea of it being more basic -and cheaper.
Sheep in winter and a run over with an old mower in summer

We used to have a five van location for the cc years ago, useful extra cash. We added a couple of electric points as it was near the supply. Gave it up in the end because the local site inspector wanted us to put up a toilet and shower block and all pitches with electricity, this was not what the five van locations are supposed to be, basic.

They may have different standards or residents around may think possibly?
Don't think so. There is a similarly named one which is a nudist job but these guys are like the caravan club and can get you an exemption after a site survey and applying to the council. We got ours but it never took of for various personal reasons.

Have you heard about the 56 day planning exemption? Landowners in England have now been given the green light to accept tents, without planning permission, for 56 days per calendar year until 31 December 2021.

It's a good option for new farm sites to test the waters before applying for planning permission or applying to be part of an exempt organisation, and last year farms earned up to £50,000 on our site in their first month.

We’ve got a bit more information here if you’re interested: https://www.pitchup.com/how-start-campsite-caravan-park/
