Caravan holidays

I've got one, a fairly old ally skinned caravan.

Not been away in it for about 6 years, don't seem to find the time now, the other issue is what to tow it with.
If I take the transit I look like a pikey, the single cab Hilux has nowhere to put anything and I don't like driving the Defender...

I'd like a demountable camper to sit on the back of the Hilux.
That would be perfect.
cut the axle off your caravan lift up with loader back hilux underneath, two ratchet straps, jobs a good un

Do folks that have caravans say they're going away more than they actually do. As in, it keeps the peace at home.
If you book a holiday in a hotel or cottage, your committed

Booking a site is not cheap especially in school hols and in the south of England, so yes you are committed. A £20k caravan with a £25K car is not a cheap option.
If you like a hotel where the Commandant states when you eat and sleep then they are often cheaper than caravaning, we also do James Villas abroad to avoid the Commandant!

A smart lodge with hot tub and a toilet you dont have to empty yourself can be got for a week quite cheaply

He got busy in our lambing caravan over winter so not so tempting to take it for a weekend away now.

Well, there we differ, whats the diff between all the cities you visited? They consist of tarmac, traffic lights and no parking signs, all surmounted by piles of stone torn from another bit of countryside! Oh and people! At the site I use in North Wales the toilets and wash rooms are like palaces, there is a small pub on site, fire baskets are provided for those who want a campfire, as are logs, though there is a charge for them. Off site entertainment? You start with the Lleyn Peninsula, are within easy reach of Anglesey, and the Festinog railway is just down the road. Much better than your polluted grubby cities!
