Carbon Calling 25th/26th June Penrith Cumbria

Inspired by a visit to @Groundswell Agriculture in 2019 a handful of us farming in Cumbria thought could we do a mini version in the north with more of a livestock focus??! After two covid induced false starts, this year it's on!
Sleastonhow Farm, Kirkby Thore, near Penrith is our location, Saturday 25th June is the main conference day. We are delighted to have Greg Judy speaking, and also running a grazing workshop on the Sunday, along side Greg we have a host of home grown talent, Nuffield scholars Alex Brewster , Michael Blanche, Claire Whittle and Charley Walker. Local dairy farmer James Robinson, cheese maker Martin Gott, Sheila Dillon from the BBC food program and defra's Janet Hughes to name a few. Some photos of the event. I was there on the Saturday, but couldn't make it for the workshops on Sunday which I hear went very well. I thought Greg Judy was very enthusiastic and @Janet Hughes Defra came across as very sincere, I just hope she can achieve all her aims. @Tim Nicholson or @nicrenison could give more insight to how the Sunday workshops went.
