Does anybody on here have any experience of this scheme??

My main questions are what's it worth, how does it work??

And more importantly, like any Gov scheme, are you likely to get paid ?

Further information seems a bit scarce...

My employers sold carbon credits on a new block of woodland 10 years ago. Private scheme. Not a huge money spinner but the consultant managed to make the spreadsheet look good enough to justify taking the arable land from the farm. Helped by a couple of other grant schemes too.

The government have stepped in and blown apart a perfectly good fledgling scheme with brokers connecting land holders and carbon offset seeking businesses. Well intentioned but in the usual fashion, clunky. We haven't looked at this new one in detail as there are more questions than answers.

I'd seek professional advice on this one. The major land agents like Carter Jonas, Savills and Strutt & Parker will have specialists for this.
