Anyone here suffer from it? Just been reading about it. Had to hurriedly lie on the kitchen floor earlier as I was about to faint for the first time in my life. Decidedly worrying as I am being investigated for various heart issues at present. I did check my blood pressure within a few mins of standing up again (I didn't lose consciousness but it all went black and I would have fallen over). It was normal but my heart was racing.
Anyway, I understand that the above could cause my symptoms and the reason I've latched onto it is that I have been suffering from right shoulder pain which has extended up my neck, it has got worst again in the last day or so. I understand that muscle pressing on the carotid sinus can cause the 'almost fainting.'

No spinning sensation, just black closing in and whoozy feeling, no nausea, ear pain or any other of the potential symptions of VL, have spoken to a couple of people who have had it, does not give the same symptoms. Felt a bit light headed a couple of times yesterday evening and blood presure reading was a bit low, possibly related to my medication, although that has not changed. Also strange if it is BP that it is not an issue in mornings when BP is naturally lower and I take the same medication as soon as I get up.

Did wonder, but don't have any confusion or lack of recall, and I'm OK again in seconds rather than minutes, and no other symptoms or after effects such as facial changes, numbness, or any of the other tia/stroke signs.
I am awaiting the result of a heart CT scan and once know the outcome of that then might have some more idea.
