well not exactly carpet farming , more of a diorama . Having visited the Malvern tractor show and looking around the model dioramas I thought i might have ago .
I dont watch a lot of telly and if i do its usually you tube but theres only so much I can endure , so plenty of time to do something else and my hobby in my teenage years was model building tho not very good.
So Dad passed away 3 years ago and i thought I would make a model of the farm as it was in 1966 when we moved here , Grandpa and Dad had farmed at Lodge Farm ,Moulton which is now the college , Grandpa sold the farm in 65 ish and the search for a new home began , ended up in Warwickshire which to be fair has been a good home
my shopping list includes county super 6 which he changed after 2 years for a Muir Hill 101 , a Massey 65 which is a easy buy . A universal model Claas Giant Matador which is a lovely model but discontinued but I scour ebay in the hope I might find one , every thing else will have to be be scratch built .
Project is underway and im half way through a dutchbarn which was the only building here on the farm , he bulldozed some brick buildings down ( sacrilege ) to build a lean to onto side of dutch barn .
And then over the years he made the yard bigger 1 lean to at a time as he could afford to .
