Hi I was just wondering has any one with a vaderstad carrier used it as a Cambridge roller after a jd750a drill running at a angle with the discs up so just the packer to help slot closure. Just looking at options cheers

Yes, works well. Really crimps the slots closed. Most of the time I use cambridge rollers unless I need the extra weight of the carrier. Have also used rexius twin in the past but needs to be dry.

Its not heavy enough and needs to be a twin press for it to do the same as a 24 inch cambridge roll.

I thought a carrier was a fair bit heavier than Cambridge rollers even with 24inch rings and breakers plus with less points of contact would A carrier not nip the slots closed better ?

I've used it after a Rapid and a Clayton Hybrid. The weight per metre is usually greater than for a ring roll plus the ridged packer has even higher ground pressure.
