Afternoon,

We've just purchased a Vaderstad Carrier and are planning on establishing cover crops with it.

Has anyone had any experience doing so and have any tips or pointers?

I've heard they aren't great in wet times which we've seen with the bit we did demoing it this autumn.

Thanks

Good for low volume cover crops ie. seed rates of say 10-15kg/ha. Not sure what you mean about conditions being too wet, cover crops want to put in close behind the combine ... more likely to be too dry!

I’ve got a Carrier with a bio drill on which we use for grass seed and cover crops. We have the facility to blow the seed in front or behind the packer roller which works better if it’s borderline wet.
