@hendrebc ......off to the Lambing fields.....prepared for anything
Its not far off actually. Rifle in a sling on one side shotgun on a sling on the other with a cartridge belt on and carrying a crook. I have gone out like that before! Was a few years ago but i think i shot about 12 moles and 10ish crows (y)

How does everyone do it? I just put my shotgun in a padded slip and tie it to the front rack worked well for years. But i have a rifle id like to take with me for the barstewarding crows in my lambing fields but if i do the same as i do with the shotgun the scope will get knocked about. Not sure how to go about it :scratchhead:

Dont feck about .......

That could be just what I'm looking for!(y)
Now for a decent lamp plugged into to the quad 12v socket and I'm sorted for night and day:sneaky:

Or....or.... could do my cunning plan.....

Mount a IR camera on the front of the quad, wired up to a reversing camera TV screen or tablet on the handle bars.
Couple of IR led torches to provide IR source, ideally wired into the quad power circuit.
That then effectively forms a big nv spotting system.

Have another system on the rifle scope with or with out another IR torch

:D

Would be good for @exmoor dave
save him buying batteries for his second IR torch, would just about blow the screens out of the night vision :inpain:

:ROFLMAO:

I may or may not know of a guy with a very short shotgun, not that short though!
Very bright in the half dark, and especially fun with black powder cartridges :borg::rolleyes:

I have one of those stretchy split slings for when I'm mobile on the bike and it's great on my lil Ruger, you can wear it front or back and put the strap over yer head so it can't slide off the shoulder, even at full gallop (y)

sort of like this one but no zip, stretchy rubber (y) stretchy enough you can whip the rifle right around and twack something without taking it off off

Got thinks like that on the front rack...just ffs don’t roll the quad when the rifle is in it, speakin from experience!
They are very useful though and wouldn’t be without it, handy for taking things like a spade too.

Or a sling over your shoulder
