Crossing cattle other day had some silly woman barely slow down driving straight into 150 started pushing them down the road towards a round about luckily a man in a builders van pulled across in front off her and saved the day I was half way to her to issue the mother off all bollockings when he beat me to it on that count as well a lot of drivers couldn’t care less about dangers or can’t see how there actions can be dangerous

There's your problem, those stupid beacons flashing away annoy and confuse drivers behind you and you're right some of them are that bright they distract you from the indicators.
Don't need them unless you're on a dual carriageway do you?

Totally agree. The twin LED's I have seen locally ,on the back of the trailer are the worst... complete morons IMO.

Is does strike me pretty much every tractor in grassmen videos has their beacons on.
Where I live we do have actual decent roads, ones with a decent ditch either side and cyclelanes on either side on so called N roads. But still there are idiots that overtake on the most demented of places. Difference is idiots tend to end up either in a verge or a ditch instead of into eachother.

Putting your indicators on, does not give you right of way, whether it be traffic from in front or behind ,
In the case of turning right in the OP post, even if he was indicating as he said he was, he has to give way to passage of traffic from both directions
Eh?

Nothing to do with right of way.

A vehicle ahead has priority. If they are indicating they should be allowed to complete their manoeuvre as to overtake would be in contravention with rule 167.

Why do continually overtake tractors indicating right and waiting to turn off.

Today with a 200hp tractor and 3000 gallon tank on the back had to stop and wait for 5 cars to overtake me before I could turn right into field.

Next run I was stopped waiting for on coming traffic to clear so I could turn right and the car behind cut out immediately to try and pass but I had already started pulling across his lane so he had to wait.

The other day and artic lorry did the exact same thing just as I was about to go right into a side road with the same outfit. I thought being a lorry they would show more sense.

2 led indicators on the back which are as plain as day and working so not like they can say they never knew what I was planning.

Is it illegal to overtake someone indicating and waiting to turn right?
What u need is a thing like a level crossing barrier painted red u can lower on the right side to stop the hoors from overtaking.
That said, there are too many yellow lights at thr back , and indicators just dont stand out

Around here, the A1 is a single lane in each direction. While waiting in the central reservation bit to turn right with a t+t, you occasionally get an idiot overtaking at about 100 and the usual traffic streaming past on the left. I’m beginning to think a camera would be a good idea.

Eh?

We will agree to disagree then
You're disagreeing with the Highway Code, not me.

Right of way is about who can access highways. If you mean priority then the only instance where a highway user behind has priority over someone ahead is when there's a blue flashy light involved.

People around these parts have a special talent for tucking in behind tractors on perfectly safe straight stretches suitable for overtaking, then just as they get to the blindest, most dangerous part of the road, panicking and overtaking unsafely. Don't know it's something in the water around here or if they all just have a death wish :scratchhead:.

Generally they stay put when I'm turning right except on one notable turn in, which happens to lead to my house! It really pisses me off and if at all possible, I will start turning the wheel (won't go over the line as I am not homicidal, even if they are putting their own lives at risk). I don't know if it scares them or not, most just bog on regardless of indicators and turned front wheels (the road is arcing right, so they can see my wheels turning a mile off).

All HGV here have these signs on the rear of their trailers. It is definitely illegal ( & highly dangerous ) to overtake anyone turning right ( assuming by that you mean they are overtaking you on the right hand side. Perfectly acceptable to overtake a stationary waiting to turn right, on the left side, if there is room & it is safe to do )
I’m surprised you don’t have something similar . . .

Problem is, as life has given us more labour and time saving devices and systems, so people feel that they have less time and have to save more! Hence, can't wait while a tractor is turning or driving slowly
