There’s something seriously wrong with him. He’s like Henry II wearing sackcloth and ashes after Thomas À Becket was killed. He’s racked by his own guilt and is behaving bizarrely, as if it will make it all go away. Before Carl Sergeant died he was up for a scrap on Brexit. Now he’s rolled over. He even agreed with Deliverence Boy on the fawning naming of Carlo’s Bridge.
I’ve spoken to people who attended official functions where he just hasn’t turned up, without warning. One was with a delegation from Belgium with regards to a centenary of a battle in WWI. The nearest bloke in an uniform was handed his speech and told to get on with it.
It shows how cozy the media are with Labour in Wales that none of this has been reported. I’m pretty sure that is any other leader was displaying the symptoms of a nervous breakdown the media would be all over it.
It’s almost tragic.
