Not had a chance to speak to them yet, don't get me wrong they have been very good and some things not so. I think this idea on the head is a real weak point as I've replaced the female part on every hedger I've had and every one I've sold has been fudged there too.I seriously hope Shelbourne can sort you out quicker than they did me as ordered a part for my feeder wagon last April and after chasing Shelbourne up numerous times the part never turned up and in desperation my local dealer actually made the part up for me themselves in February this year. (Top hat for the auger)
pee poor service thanks Shelbourne ☹☹☹
Yes I have a 660T with 1.5 head. Not had a chance to speak to them yet, don't get me wrong they have been very good and some things not so. I think this idea on the head is a real weak point as I've replaced the female part on every hedger I've had and every one I've sold has been fudged there too.
I run there new 1600 head for over a year on my hedger that's why I'm surprised this has failed so soon as its not actually done more than a couple of seasons.
With the new type head again good and bad but would I buy one... Im not sure, nobody seems to care what I even thought of it....
Did you have a shelbourne 660 with the 1.5m head or am I thinking of someone else?
Yes you can get spare drive shaft for that unit as it's a common fault. Leave it with me and will make some inquiries on the availability on spare parts.Ive got this motor on my shelbourne hd860T hedger and the female part stripped end of the season, the male part is very worn. Next call will be to shelbourne but wondered where I could source the shaft from direct? Google isn't a lot of help. Thanks
That's brilliant, thanks.Yes you can get spare drive shaft for that unit as it's a common fault. Leave it with me and will make some inquiries on the availability on spare parts.
My opinion is the same as yours, it don't flow well. The new head was a a whole lot better but my tractor took a beating with flying material. I think they have changed a few things to stop this on production heads.Yes I have a 660T with 1.5 head.
It's been a good trimmer but if could maybe put a McConnell head on it I think that would probably improve it and make a very good machine great. Shelbournes head doesn't seam to let material flow as well as McConnell's but that's my personal opinion but down here we have VERY woody hedges.
I got told on Monday that Shelbourne are on full manufacturing shut down due to CV but I don't know if that's correct.
