Did the 956/ 1056 have different engines ,was chatting with mike stokes about this other day 956 stood turbo better he had 6/7 out to Richard longs But I would prefer 3120 Or dig deep and buy a 6280/90
Wonder if that's because, at 95hp the engine is very under stressed whereas a 1056 will have had a bit more taken out before it received the TB trreatment
do the 3120 have some kind of shuttle?
Mechanical shuttle, needs clutching.

No they have a gear stick with just forward neutral and reverse but it's not a problem to me I drive one on the bedder everyday maybe a bit sad on a loader but normal work will be fine
thats not to bad! better then the IH there is a possibility it might get a loader at some point maybe

Have you found a 1056?

G m Stephenson have a 2wd 1255  I was told once there were only 2 in the country, but it can't be.
Our neighbour used to plough with a 2wd 1255xl with a 5 furrow kv on the back. Always amused me when ploughing. His man would get to the end, stop, lift plow up then stand on one of the independents and spin it round on one wheel. then drop plough and away, Usually with rear wheels spinnnng wildly. Never did know why he didn't get something 4wd for that job as it must have been ploughing 4-500 acres a year.

Edit- the one at stephenson's wasn't our neighbours. That was on a 'A' plate.

Probably for the reason you just said  I could just do with 4wd for muck spreading.

And I don't think my wife would be too pleased.
