I have one of the above which is used as a scraper tractor. Recently the hydrolics have slowed to the point it takes soooo long for them to drop!! They raise as they should. There is a speed valve in the cab which seems to be set fully to the max. Anyone any ideas of what's madder widden as my breakfast is becoming lunch!!!! :-/

when was last time you greased the linkage and ramshaft.....

should be a "fast drop" feature on that tractor if the lever is set right, push lever all the way to the bottom and you will feel the last inch of travel is harder, and against a spring, that should make the arms go down faster

the speed control is on plastic UJs, are you sure turning the knob is actually doing anything, the roll pins do shear off sometimes

Grease? What?!!! ;-)
The "fast drop" did used to seem to 'override' it and work well but this function seems to have disappeared!
Will do a spot of greasing tomorrow and check on the roll pins, although it does feel like its connected as its quite tight.

chance the spring loaded bit of the lever is full of cattle shite

all the gubbins are located in the space between the back of the rh fuel tank and the axle, go in from the back and give it a good blast with the pressure washer, pour some oil over it and it may come back to life

its also the location of the friction washer should you ever wish to tighten the lever up, they tent to want to return to lift all the time as the washer gets worn, 19mm nylock to tighten, have to do it by feel, your working blind in there

Mmm, always having to drive with one hand. To let the handle go after waiting so long for it to drop causes a few choice words. I seem to suffer with Tourettes when it happens!!
U have been very helpful and will tackle it at some point. Thanks
