Bit of a weird one..... i have resurrected a Case 1529 Skid loader with a Ruston hornsby Twin diesel air cooled motor.
It runs fine etc carts 5ft hay bales does what i want, but i'm curious about where it was built.
The vin tag is worn smooth apart from the model number, Serial number and an inspectors mark - which are stamped in.There are the very faint remains of what looks like french that were printed on at one point.
I am aware that Case took over Poclain the excavator manufacturers in the 70's which is when i believe this was probably made but there was also a factory at Vierzon where they seem to have mostly made 580 wheeled diggers.
Basically im wondering if anyone else has an early Case skid steer with a french build plate on it and whether it has on it the factory of production, its only a piddly detail but its annoying me not being sure.

Kind regards to anyone who can help

Ferret.
