We've been looking for a skid steer for a while and have seen a 410 for sale.

Anyone have one or use one, and do you rate them or hate them?

Any info appreciated. TIA.

We have got one but the old model 1840 and I would not be with out it but we have a few old fashioned sheds so a telehandler would be no good to us

Had a Case 430 Series 3 was very happy with it, well built and reliable nothing really to go wrong on them, all mechanical controls.

In 1200 hours only problem was a burst hydraulic hose and replaced tyres at 800hrs. Did get it converted to two speed when new. Keep the radiator clean and serviced shouldn't give much trouble.
Only reason changed was wanted a sealed cabin with door and air con.

Depends how well previous owner/owners looked after it.

We have had one since new changed 4 wheel bearings and a water pump and an alternator in 4500 hours so not to bad. It is constantly carrying around a 600 kg feed bucket

We bought a used 1840 years ago and there was a heap of faults so the dealer loaned us a new 410 while it was being fixed. Had it for two months and put nearly 300 hrs on it. Sad to see ours come back. Dealer was sad to see how much we'd used his too

Cheers all, never seen one until the other day. Most farms around here have got Bobcats.

We've seen a lot of "well used" machines over the last few months borderline scrap, and asking 6-9k.

The 410 is a good size for us as I want it to clean out calf pens, scrape cattle sheds and carry cake /straw. The new ones are too big for us and at just over 30k buying second hand is our only option.
