Evening all, I'm after a bit of assistance if possible.

I've got a Case 4230 that's slow to start. We've put a new battery and heater plug on, but it's still sluggish turning over. In cold weather, it doesn't get going at all.

I'm looking at getting a starter, but I'm unsure whether to get a normal starter or a reduction starter. It looks like a normal one on it. Is it better to have the extra torque with a reduction?

Any help much appreciated.

There is a 4.2 KW reduction starter and 3.2 KW standard starter ,make sure as above you use a good make.

Check the leads especially the earth, bad connection it doesn’t matter what you put on.
