We have a 92 case ih 5240 that won't reverse. When you put the shuttle shift into reverse the reverse light comes on as long as the clutch petal is pushed down, it goes off when the clutch is released. The reverse and forward solenoids are activating, but that's all we have checked.

Fuses?relays?
No fuses popped, forward/reverse relay works. We are not getting power to the lower modulation solenoid in any combination of the shuttle shift/gears/clutch.

There's likely a system to stop reverse in fourth range?, same as most Case tractors, maybe worth checking it's not "stuck on" somehow.

There are gear position switches on the right hand side of the transmission near the cab steps that stop drive in fourth range in reverse. If they are out of adjustment or a wire broken it will cause your symptoms. I drove over a branch in some bracken and it caught the wires and ripped them off
