Just bought a case 844xln with a loader. Just wondering if there is air con or heating and if so how do you turn it on.

I think it’s that knob in your last picture. Can you take a picture of the roof controls further back. Should be a knob for hot and cold and then one for the fan. Sold ours 7 or 8 years ago. Don’t think it was on the left hand side behind the seat. That’s the low cab on a 4200 series.

Yes two controll knobs but they are both seized. anyway of taking the roof instrument panel down to access the switches and blowers to check if working. Noticed that there were two bolts either side of the panel, has that got anything to do with it.

Think you can just lift the roof Lid off easier from the outside.
cant remember, but that’s the case on most tractors.

On our old 856XL which is basically the same there was a tap on the heater hose as well as the in cab controls.

It was located at the back of the engine, if you looked inbetween the the front of the cab & engine from the right hand side you could see it, used to close it about 11 am & open it up again around 8pm in spring & autumn, rest of the year it wasn't touched, 14 turns sticks in my head & wasn't the easiest to get at.

Take the bolts out, everything drops and hangs in place. There isn't much room but you can access almost everything you need to

There’s two pipes with what looks like valve where the right controller would be. Anyone got any clue what it would be so I could buy an new one.

Valve will be to shut off the hot water. Will be the same as an XL cab. Open it fully by hand if you want hot air. Is your fan working?

It has a piece of metal over it and on the inside of cab a round peice of metal where it looks like that there would of been a knob.
