Case 885 shuttle shift

New to me 885 with the 8x8 shuttle shift, was working then all of a sudden doesn’t want to come out of reverse. When you put the clutch in and the lever forward the clutch only returns about half way

It will be something to do with the lockout linkage.
You can't move the shuttle lever until the clutch pedal is depressed.
Take off any cladding and panels, you should be able to see how the linkage operates and what is stopping it.

Has to be something mechanical stopping the clutch pedal IF the clutch is operating normally when in reverse.
I'll have a look see if I can find any diagrams online.
Is your 885 an L cab or a flat deck cab...

clutch is working all gears and the high low in reverse. The shuttle shift doesn’t move far enough forward to allow the clutch to come back up. I’ve forced it past the lock out and it’s still in reverse

I think this is a TA linkage, I can't find a shuttle linkage diagram.
Essentially though it operates in a similar way and you can see the fork which the linkage moved through the transmission top.
The difference between a TA and shuttle is inside the box.
