Case 885 XL indicators not working

I have recently bought an 885 XL which fitted my budget and was very tidy (it had obviously been kept indoors all of it's life). All the lights and electrics work as they should except for the indicators and hazard lights. I'm no expert at electrics, but I assume the flasher unit has packed up (as the horn still works on the stalk, as does the main beam flash / dip).

I have searched the internet and found that the OEM part for the flasher unit is no longer available - can anyone advise how to get this sorted with another part?

I seen to remember in the dim and distant past the same thing happened to our 674 and l finally traced the fault to a bad earth somewhere.

I would first give the hazard switch a good wiggle, if faulty it will kill everything.
In the ON position it controls the Hazard's, in the OFF position it has control whether the indicators work or not.
Before investing in a flasher unit, you might consider jumping the wires to see it they stay on constant in any one stalk position? If they do then you know you just need a flasher unit.
