Change the wiring loom on the base plate as this is inside the gearbox and the oil deteriorates the loom.
Check splines on PTO drive shaft . Not dear to replace.
If there are any marks where the sprag bearing has been running on the shaft or gear then replace. If you leave the marked components in the tractor then the new sprag wont last long.

Presuming its 4wd , all 895 will have a 12" Rockford type clutch, any jangling out of centre of drive disc needs replacing as does resurfacing of the flywheel , if in any doubt you may just put in a complete clutch kit ( bearings and all) , check the ring gear for wear , replace as they wear in two spots and not dear from vapormatic , dismantle and inspect pto pack as it will be out on floor , check front of 4wd drop box output shaft for oil leaks, replace if tractor does a lot of roadwork, replace seal on 1000rpm pto shaft, before you split check that front axle centre beam bushings are ok, if worn they put undue pressure on 4wd shaft and and splines, check seal on input shaft into front diff, also the centre support shaft bearing and carrier are wear related items, on power shift base plate the stack pipe has 2 o-rings, change these and check gasket on base plate, a new seal kit for the front of gearbox is a must do and the rest as stated in above posts, hope this helps!

New handbrake band if it is still like the old ones. make sure there are no marks on the shaft in the torque amp or else it will leak.
