Main problem is the paint they used was shyte, & they didn't put enough on. We have an MX that has been kept polished & it's almost worn through now, a respray is on the cards at some stage in the very near future.
The silver wheels were worse, every rub of a sponge brought paint off, I think the way they painted the wheels was to hold the spraygun & drive the tractor past it...

The silver they used on the wheels is the same as the white they use on NH wheels, utterly pants. Hedge trimming in particular is bad for them, stick likes hell and if you leave it on it eats the paint. You almost want to give them a good wipe with some automotive spray wax so it can be removed more readily at the end of the day.

If its really faded you need a proper polisher ,it's a variable speed nine inch angle grinder in essence.then foam heads ,g mop by farecla, sponge heads and g10 finishing compound also by farecle to use with it.slow speed and add water to keep it cool so you don't melt the plastic or it's coating.messy too ,will need a good window wash afterwards and then waxing with any wax polish.done numerous bobbers and panels here, some plastic, baler sides etc and plenty of bonnets, quadtrac one similar I think, brought it up like new.my body shop friend gave me this advice and have got on well.need to practice a bit with the polisher first though...

Tractor bonnet, mudguards and cab roof isn’t a huge surface area to do so it is possible with the right applicators and products. Spend a couple of hours with a good 2 stage cutting compound then polish or even an all in one like autofinesse tripple if it’s not too bad and buy some good hand applicators. You’ll be amazed at the outcome!
