Afternoon gents quick question on where to start looking to sort this problem, the arms drop when the tractor is turned off as well as that it seems to pulse a wee bit when in the raised position?

9 times out of 10 this will be lift cylinder seals.
You might get lucky & have a leaking cushion valve, but highly unlikely in my experience & the only way to check is to fit a new one.
The other issue could be the drop check valve slightly out of adjustment, that doesn't really happen either once set.

Thanks so far so what am I looking at a big job or something reasonably easy to do and sort?

Well you can change the cushion valve & adjust the drop check valve without a major strip down.
To do the cylinder seals you'll need the hydraulic top cover off though.

Will you help clear snow?
