Hello all,

New to the forum.. Recently bought a 2010 case jxu 105... 3800hrs on the clock.

I've noticed when carrying weight on the Back lift, it drops afew inches and jumps back up... Repeatedly keeps at this... Not sure what could be causing this or is it something to worry about??

Also only noticed today when the 4wd is engaged I can here a knocking noise from underneath, coming from the 4wd shaft area.. Noise stops when 4wd disengaged...

Might this be a bearing or some kind of knuckle joint??

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated..... Thanks...

The 4wd noise could be a bearing on the shaft coming from the back to the front axle under middle of the tractor. Just had mine changed as there was a noise underneath and mechanic said that was common problem.

Is it a big/expensive job to replace the bearing??

Don't know, I've not had the bill but my mechanic did it in the dark with a head torch, took about 20 mins so I wouldn't think it was that difficult.
Ah good stuff, doesn't sound like too much hardship so... I will investigate tomorrow.. Have to take off the gaurd over that shaft to see what the story is... Thanks for your help

Hi I have a similar model but 2009 and somehow I can't really find the hydraulic fluid reservoir?
Anyone knows how to top it up and what sort of fluid has to go in the hydraulic system

Hydraulics and transmission is all one, fill point is near the top link attachment point, dipstick a bit lower down on right.10w30 UTTO goes in there.
