Gave it a good wash and now when i turn the tractor on i get either no dashboard lights or lots of random ones. Also it slowly revs up to about 1400 revs and wont mover or do anything. then ill come to it the next morning and it is fine.......for about 10 mins then it does it again. Any ideas? have i killed the ECU? thanks.

Correct me if I’m wrong but on a puma isn’t there some large multi pin plugs under the cab on the left hand side. Perhaps you’ve moisture in one of these?

Check for corrosion around the fusable links next to the battery and also that all wires are have good battery connection. Had similar with one of our t7030’s.

Pull the plugs apart under the cab on the right. I believe there is 4/5 plugs. Also make sure you use electrical cleaner and not wd40 or something as when you put it back it can short across the lubricants and give you even more problems. Electrical cleaner evaporates.

I don’t konow what to use but ime contact cleaner leaves a very dry and clean surface: perfect for trapping moisture and corroding. There must be a correct grease to use afterwards?

As above ..........
Best to disconnect the battery
Cab heater inside and space heater in the shed.
Lift the ambient temperature around the tractor, as soon as possible.
Don't leave it unattended with heaters going hard .......

Will almost certainly be one of the fuses next to the battery, seen this loads of times on NH’s, the fuse looks whole, but when you remove the 2 bolts holding the fuse to the terminals it will be corroded it it will break up. Yeah revving up to 1400 is the tell tale sign!

Never give electrical connectors, components, wiring, fuse holders, sensors, potentiometers, conduits, bearings, swivel points, breathers or any similar part, a "good wash". Certainly not with a power hose. Not even such parts that you might believe to be waterproof.

And new Holland / case electrics are way more vulnerable to washing than most other makes according to my brother who works at a very busy independent second hand tractor and machinery dealer. New Holland electronic spools positively hate being washed as those cab plugs he's told me before.

And certainly not with a steam cleaner!

My uncle has an MF that does similar if it's been washed or outside in the rain. He keeps it indoors overnight now as it won't move after being out in the wet. Best cure is to leave it running for a few hours to dry out.

I was advised by an atv mechanic to never wash a quad with a pressure washer as it plays hell with the bearings and electrics. Have noticed since then that we have had virtually no problems after that so there must be something in it.

I'd try pulling sensor off fuel filter or replacing filter. Used to have a 6930 that if you washed it it would derate power and you had to remove filters and put back on
