Case Puma autosteer ready- how do I make it work?

Recently bought a new to me puma 160 cvx. Auto steer ready, valves steering column, wires with bracket on roof and it has a pro 700 screen.

Do i just need the receiver for the roof and a control box that goes behind the passenger seat?

Whats the best option, just for fert, dribble bar slurry and guess i could use it for power harrowing, sowing grass etc if its accurate enough...? Would egnos be ok?

Do i need some code or would a second hand set up work straight away?

Thanks

You would need a receiver on the roof and possibly a controller plus then pay a subscription depending on what accuracy your after we are on rtx and it’s good enough for everything we do

Perfect timing I was just about to post something similar.

I bought a 2016 230cvx in the spring with the wiring and brackets however there is no screen or receiver would a trimble system fit as I think they used to be the same. If so what system?

Spoke to my dealer. He recommends the 372 reciever and rkt control box. Said they all use same receiver and control box. Engos is 20cm and £30ish a year and rkt pinpoint gets down to 8cm although £300 per year. Can go further but then you need £2000 unlock codes. Only thing is my 700 screen may need updated to be compatible.

Does this make sence?

Friend uses the Trimble system. They buy new kit for every farming season, since they'll get free demo codes for the most accurate signal for a few months. Then they'll sell the set and rinse and repeat. He told me that it's cheaper that way, the kit's value probably doesn't go down 2k€ within one summer?

Egnos is free, and £300 sounds more like rangepoint (RTX), which is pretty good, but not repeatable year on year. Also stacks up with next steps needing unlocks.

Running Centerpoint RTX here on a Puma with AFS 700 and I have to says it’s very good. Much better than our JD mobile RTK system.

Any of the trimble set ups would do, 750 1000 2050 etc but quite expensive as also need trimble nav controller to work through the steering valve. Maybe a steering column motor would be cheaper

Thanks for that, have a motor on combine since 2011 it's a whim I have for the moment, may speak to Trimble guys and see what the story is or keep an eye on classifieds

Doesn't need a nav controller if it's tmr, 2018 or later.
Would need a CAN AP licence for the nav 900 though.
That statement is absolutely correct all maxxum up MR tractors don't need a NAV but both machines discussed in this thread are 4A machines and would therefore require a trimble nav to work the steering valves on that setup. Cheaper option is steering column motor

I run a Trimble fmx on rtk on a 2017 Puma cvx works well but expensive. I use the pro 700 screen for isobus now.
So for the op if you have the 700 screen it would be a 372 receiver on roof and a nav controller in cab behind passenger seat. For @beltbreaker the Trimble system and the case Trimble systems are totally different set ups so you either go pro 700 and 372 receiver along with a nav controller or you fit a Trimble aftermarket system I would suggest the latter with electric steering wheel to be best value and easiest to fit. Sadly very few of these systems are as straightforward as manufacturers would have you believe
