I tried one on a maxxum 4 year’s ago, wanted to like it, but just couldn’t get my head around it.
too illogical, push the stick forward to go backwards, what’s that all about ?

Got another flavour cvt instead, more logical and user friendly.
Should have tried a blue one Forwards to go forwards back to go back

Like most things on Case it seems as though NH had first dibs at the parts bin and Case had what was left over or had to think of a different way of doing it.

Huh weird, I've always thought the exact same thing about NH.. I mean why do they still stick a dash behind the wheel when the Austrians figured out the much superior placement ages ago??
And why, oh why, can't they also use a drive stick that runs in a track rather than the awkward thing they use now.
Case is the only brand of tractors where the stick is actually usable, all others are kept in pedal mode 100% of the time.

Never found the dashboard an issue on the NH, to be fair most info is on the telly screen anyway.

And hardly ever use ours in pedal mode.

The NH joystick is a lot nicer to use and better laid out than the one on the case as well.

We got red and blue versions here and blue one does double the hours of the red one Annually

I think the case variants look weird with nothing behind the steering wheel just a lump of plastic. The new Holland dash could do with updating to a screen admittedly but as above, all the info is on the 10” screen on the armrest. Hardly look at the dashboard ever.

I find mine sluggish switching from forward to reverse compared to the Valtra and john deeres I've used but than that its a fine! can be very twitchy at low speeds too if you don't limit the pedal travel. A full rebuild including new brakes, a clutch pack and some niggly wiring issues sorting cost me £8300 this spring which was bloody painful but as vario rebuilds go I didn't think it was too bad.

That sounds very reasonable compared to my green experience!

Correct me if I'm wrong but surely the NH sidewinder and you pull the stick 'back' it just slows the tractor to eventually a stop. Then if you select reverse and want to speed up you still have to push the stick forward? Or is it like a Massey powershift design and pull back to go faster in reverse?
