I did hear we would see it by the end of the year and it would be available on new tractors from next spring but like I say it’s just something I heard, nothing factual.
What have you heard?

One chap said end of 2018 another said spring 19, both in CNH, getting close to ordering a replacement and it would annoy the hell out of me if a new one turned up and a month later a facelift was available. Looking to get a new one delivered in March after reg plates change.

The new Maxxums are only available with the new roof/bonnet now. Basically looks like a baby Optum, it's grown on me very quickly!

Yeah got one on demo at mo, just not sure it’s quite heavy enough for our big old hedge cutter, got a Puma 155 on it at mo and on the banks it wouldn’t want to be any lighter but I can’t find a definite weight of the 2 to compare, too many variables.

What do you think of it? Which gear box has it got? Can't understand why they have so many different types of wings. I almost feel if I was to order one I would have to specify what wings I wanted, along with the pedals, seen quite a few with old style metal pedals.

It’s the active 8, at first I didn’t think it was much different to the powershift but once you start hooking on trailers and driving through town the clutchless brake comes into its own, be great on the baler I reckon, something that does my nut with the powershift when going through town, get to junction and have to put foot on clutch, it sticks it in 12th but leaves it in what ever number you’re in so you pull away and try and upshift and it just beeps at you while the car you thought you could pull out in front of is now up your arse and giving you the bird because you still stuck in 12th:mad: feels a little small compared to our Puma 155 but park it next to the Puma 185 and it’s the same height. Hitch is an improvement, copied John Deere I guess. Seats good compared to our pumas. I didn’t know there were variations on wings but can see these two pictures have different styles :scratchhead: and this has rubber pedals. Seems to pull fine for a four pot.

Yeah I can imagine it would be good for that and loader work maybe. I would be sticking with CVX however. Sounds odd that it does that.... Have you the older style Puma 155 that was same as Maxxum shape or the newer one with the tall bonnet? They're as long as a 6 pot Maxxum but still not on par weight or real physical size wise as a Puma.

They do go well for 4 pots, our 110 and 130 both go like trains for the size of them. Would love a new 145 one day.

155 has the tall bonnet, and yes I’d imagine it would be great on a loader. We should just go for a cvx as have had a couple of demo 230 cvx’s while the 185 had problems when new, love that gearbox, should really get a quote to compare but back when we got the 185 it was around 10k more  hard to justify on our small farm.

Maxxum is around 5.5t as a base, and Puma is around 7.5t. A few inches longer wheel base on the Puma but nothing major. It is a different beast entirely.

Hi all first post on here i ordered a Maxxum 150 activedrive 8 for delivery in October in May with the deal being they take the other Red brand tractor out of my sight the day the warranty runs out (1st July). Anyway in July my dealer came calling & informed me that they had software issues so delivery was put back to March 2019 no problem as Case were putting a tractor in place to use so a brand new Maxxum 145 cvx turned up now I had priced a cvx when the deal was done but me being me felt I couldn't justify the difference £5000 . One week later the dealer came calling how's that gearbox my reply was what a machine but you shouldn't have let me have that I want one more than ever now I couldn't believe his reply. Well Case are prepared to change the deal to a Maxxum 150cvx for the same price as an active drive 8 for delivery in October i have taken the deal up but no word on the tractor yet & the 145 has clocked up 800 trouble free hours at the moment so as you can imagine at the moment I'm a serious Case now.!!!

anyone know when the Puma is getting the new style bonnet? I know it’s coming just getting mixed information as to when.
My dealer was at the factory a couple of weeks ago. Launch at Agritechnica but won’t see one in the UK until at least spring 2020

I’d heard similar but for now my 3 year old 165 cvx departed yesterday for its up grade. Should hopefully have a new model in 3 years when this gets changed. Some nice new updates on it from my last one
