Case stockman from an l cab to an xl

You'd really need a scrap 895xl tractor to do it with as there will be loads of differences between the two, diesel tank, dash etc. Probably cheaper and easier to sell it and buy an 895xl.

If you find a tidy XL cab the tractor, I doubt the tractor will be breaking money. Also be aware that although the XL cabs are similar looking, from the wheel arch down there are model variations.

You are going to give yourself a world of pain if you decide to go down this line.
There are so many differences I couldn't begin to think of them all.
Hydraulic linkages inside & outside the cab.
Gear linkage
Don't get me started on electrics, steering, fuel tanks etc.

If you fancy an 895xl be patient, try to find a nice one, they were by that time a pretty well sorted tractor.

Don’t think the stockman type tractor had a flat floor did it? So in short I don’t think it will fit as everything will be too low down

thanks for your replies i think ill just do up my own cab easy enough to cut out and weld in bits because there are few awkard angles
Chuck the cab in a skip and put a roll bar on, you could stick one of those sun shade/rain stopper tops on it (y)
