Thats not how it works in the UK , when a client pays by card they put their pin number in and if its authorised an authorisation number is printed on both copies of the print outs , takes around 10-20 seconds , seller is guaranteed payment and customer walks away with the goods , there must be some very long queues in NZ .
No queues at all, why would there be, once the payment is authorised with a PIN payment is done, straight from buyers bank account directly into sellers. what are you waiting 20 seconds for? it should only take a couple. As you have already pointed out the systems do have some differences, you may catch up one day!

So why did you have to go for a coffee when youd paid a car dealer ?

It’s quite handy for the payment to be instant when the seller needs to know he has been paid before you take your purchase away. Once bought a car from a dealer, as the dealer was a few hours away from home and not one I had dealt with before he needed to see payment before I could drive the car away, easy, pay with card, go for a cup of coffee, come back, payment gone through, drive home.
thats what I do

So he wasn't guaranteed the money until it hit his account , in the UK we are guaranteed the money as soon as the PDQ prints the receipt , sounds like you have a slow antiquated system there , you want to get into the 21st century :ROFLMAO:

He said cheques are no longer used.

His location doesn’t show up on mobile app.

He’s posting on a U.K. forum.

Get it yet.
Get what?

I actually preferred cheques, it was because banks didn't want to provide that service was why they were stopped, and it's a major inconvenience for those with no internet.

Location, if in doubt figger it out.....

So what if it's a UK based forum, it would be pretty fecked if it had no input from outside the UK/real world.

Perspective is merely the view from the point that you stand on, ignore the fact that a person standing next to you or far over the horizon will have a different view even if you are looking at the same point. 👍
Who's the guy in the picture???😆

I`m genuinely concerned about the amount of immigrants turning up in the UK, legal and illegal , the majority come from cultures that are not compatible with British culture , they will never fit in with the way we live and dont want to either , it`ll not end well , well actually it`ll never end .
