Castor wheels on fert spreader

Is it worth putting these on. Neighbour has and it looks neat..... however is it worth it? D

it's the sort of thing proper farmers do.
but.....no.
very bad farmers are content with a couple of pallets.

We have them on. It does make it useful to move around the shed, but also to hitch it on.
You can attach pipes and pto etc, then move it forward to the arms and top link. Saves a lot of squeezing.
Ours came with it on, but I would spec it on a new one.

We had castors on our Khun spreader and they were great , ordered our new sulky with them also . Definitely would not want to be without them now , a lot safer and easy to move around .

A good, strong pallet and 4 castor wheels from screwfix does the same job for less money.

it's the business. we have some old roofing timbers bolted together to make something slightly stronger than a pallet with castors under. it's the job.

Decision made..... I'll make a frame and buy some castors...... can always rely on you tight buggers

3 pallets here, the same pallets the last spinner lived on, if it had castors on it wouldn't drop as close to the ground so would be harder to load with fert.

Castors would be a lot lower than three pallets .

Why do people take the $iss out of Sulky stuff. I had the same when I told someone I'd bought a Sulky drill.

My fert spreader lives on a pallet, just as the old one did. Easy to move around with a telehandler and pallet forks, and makes putting on and off easier. Pallet forks are on handler to load fert anyway at that stage.
