Cat 335/45/55 Error Code - Air Filter F417

Our little crawler for years has displayed this error code periodically. Change the filter and it goes away for maybe half an hour. Only seems to trigger once engine revs get above say 1500. No noticable effect on performance.

Anyone got any ideas? Could it just be an iffy sensor, and if so could anyone tell me where I could find said sensor?
